What is the Chalkbeat Jobs Board?
It’s a tool offered by Chalkbeat to help education employers find great talent, and to help education talent find available jobs. Education recruiters rely on the Chalkbeat Jobs Board to connect with the best, most engaged candidates in education. They post a wide range of jobs, including positions at schools (teachers, principals, nurses, psychologists, operations staff) and jobs at education organizations (executive directors, project directors, coordinators, managers, analysts, operations staff). This past year, employers posted more than 800 jobs, and more than 35,000 people visited the Chalkbeat Jobs Board.

Where are these jobs posted?
All jobs are posted on the Chalkbeat Jobs Board, which is promoted on Chalkbeat’s national news homepage and local pages serving New York, Indiana, Tennessee, Michigan and Colorado. Job seekers can view all current listings, or sort by geography, and apply for jobs. Recruiters can log in to post current openings and manage their listings.

How much does it cost to post a job?

  • A single 30-day job posting costs $149
  • A featured job posting costs an additional $100

Do you offer discounts?
Yes! When buying five or more jobs, we offer a discount.

What is a featured job posting?
Featuring job posts is a powerful way to increase the visibility of your post: more candidates will see your job! When you buy a featured job, the posting is displayed:

  • at the top of the Jobs Board
  • on every page that people see when they are reviewing other jobs
  • in a prominent placement on the national and local homepages of chalkbeat.org
  • in local email newsletters reaching thousands of our most dedicated readers

I want my company featured in the banner at the top of the jobs board for added visibility. What do I do?

What is a bulk pack?
A bulk pack consists of five 30-day job postings. Each credit counts as one job posting. You do not have to spend the bulk pack all at once. After you purchase it, you’ll have the credit on your account and the option to publish the postings at any time you wish.

How do I pay for a job posting?
You can pay for a job posting using a PayPal account or a credit card. To inquire about other payment options, like paying by check, e-mail Frank Rowe at jobs@chalkbeat.org.

How do I get invoiced for a job posting purchase?
If you would like to be invoiced for your purchase, please e-mail Frank Rowe jobs@chalkbeat.org.

How will I know when my job has expired?
You will receive an e-mail five days before your posting expires, and you’ll have the option to renew for an additional 30 days. You will also receive an e-mail notifying you when your post officially expires, and again you’ll have the option of logging into your Jobs Board account to relist the posting.

How can I relist a posting?

  • Visit My Dashboard and login.
  • Click on Ended/Expired to view your postings that are not active.
  • Click Relist

How do I edit a job listing or remove it from the site?

  • Click on Jobs Packs and view how many job credits you have remaining
