Job Description
New York City Children’s Center is a New York State Office of Mental Health Program that offers mental health services and support services to children.
We have seven programs on our campus one of which is the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The Learning Resource Center offers academic support to children that utilize the mental health programs on our campus.
Educators hired to support children in the Learning Resource Center would be working with a diverse everchanging group of children ranging in age from 7 to 21. Our youngsters arrive with a range of academic skills and abilities, as well as mental Health support needs. We typical work in very small groups of 2 to 6 kids with a minimum of two educators. The hours of operation are currently 9:30am to 7:30pm. We are seeking part time special education teachers and can offer a somewhat flexible work schedule, 3 to 5 days a week M-F.
