Job Description
The purpose of the Chief Talent Officer (CTO) is to develop and direct the Hamilton County Department of Education’ss talent in order to maximize the direct impact on overall student achievement.
The CTO will be responsible for the management and development of processes and programs that drive the attraction, retention, management, and development of highly effective talent. The position will also provide leadership for the development and execution of Human Capital and HR strategies in support of the overall strategic plan of the District, specifically in the areas of recruitment and selection, on-boarding, coaching and evaluation, workforce planning, professional development, talent and leadership development, succession planning, organizational development, employee engagement and relations, general compliance, and compensation strategies.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Business, Human Resources Management, School Administration and Supervision, Educational Leadership, Organizational Development or a closely related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible management level experience that includes substantial experience in Human Resources and Talent Management, or any equivalent combination of education, training,
and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. - Senior/Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, PHR) Certification preferred. Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
