Instructional Support Director of Early Learning

Job Description

The Director of Early Learning will lead the design, development, and implementation of a rigorous system of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. This role will ensure that students are engaged in tasks that reflect the expectations of the Tennessee State Standards and support educators to deliver high quality early learning opportunities. This role will develop and lead professional learning opportunities for early childhood educators across the district. The incumbent will also serve as part of the
leadership team that works collaboratively to support Area Learning Communities toward ensuring rigor and alignment across Hamilton County Schools. The successful candidate will demonstrate content and curriculum expertise with a strong understanding of balanced assessment practices to monitor student progress towards mastery of state standards.

Knowledge, Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of five years’ previous school administration.
