Teacher Middle School Math Teacher
Job Description
We have a current opening for a Middle School Math Teacher. The math teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction that develops students’ problem-solving skills, conceptual understanding, and fluency in mathematics. Lessons should be aligned to the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards, with a focus on preparing students for success on the NYS Grades 5–8 Math Assessments and beyond.
We are seeking a positive, flexible, and solutions-oriented educator who is passionate about closing the achievement gap and equipping students—particularly in urban communities—with the tools to thrive academically and personally. Experience with technology-rich, interactive lessons is a plus.
Teachers will participate in regular data meetings, engage in peer and administrative observations, and attend ongoing professional development throughout the year.
