What You’ll Do:

• Develop relevant and accessible content-based curriculum
• Assess student growth using formal and informal data
• Build students’ academic and socio-emotional skills
• Advocate for appropriate student supports
• Support post-high school transition planning
• Facilitate student learning through collaborative classroom work, reading, writing, discussion, and exploration/experimentation

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred).
• Valid New York State Teacher Certification (visit http://eservices.nysed.gov/teach/certhelp/CertRequirementHelp.do for details)
• Proven ability to plan lessons with clear objectives and assessments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated content knowledge and familiarity with Common Core State Standards
• Success in tailoring instruction for diverse learners
• Ability to collaborate effectively
• Experience with educational technology
