We are seeking an ambitious Operations Manager to join our Success Academy Charter Schools team!

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager of the school, the Operations Manager is a key member of the school operations team, managing the operations of the school on a daily basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Support faculty, scholars, and families with a superior level of customer service, enabling teachers and school leaders to focus exclusively on teaching and learning.
- Monitor and create safety policies and procedures and ensure the attentiveness and efficacy of the school safety staff.
- Oversee facilities renovations, from bidding to completion, ensuring that contractors’ work is timely, of high quality, and on budget.
- Maintain school aesthetics at a high level based on Success Academy standards.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and building teams such as Custodians, School Food, and School Safety.
- Work closely with school custodial team to ensure the building is immaculately cleaned and maintained.
- Manage and track the inventory of instructional and office supplies.
- Create and implement the logistical procedures to facilitate school events for internal and external participants, including scholars, faculty, and parents.
- Manage food services to ensure on-time meals and compliance with federal food regulations, including sanitation standards and student lunch eligibility.
- Be the first point of contact for basic on site technology support and repairs.
- Manage instructional and office supply procurement to ensure that all materials are in stock and teacher requests are fulfilled, while tracking expenditures.
- Create and implement the logistical procedures to facilitate school events for internal and external participants, including students, faculty, and parents.
- Manage food services including, compliance documents for school lunch and ensure that School Food provides timely service and a clean cafeteria, and arrange food for field trips.
- Monitor and create safety policies and procedures Oversee facilities renovations, from bidding to completion, ensuring that contractors’ work is timely, of high quality, and on budget.
- Support faculty, scholars and families with a superior level of customer service, enabling teachers and school leaders to focus exclusively on teaching and learning.

- School procedures such as arrival, breakfast, lunch, and dismissal will run smoothly, efficiently, and on-time.

- Staff will consistently have all supplies needed to educate our scholars at a high level.
- Scholars, parents, and staff will feel safe and secure in the building.
Role Deliverables
- Goal 1: (Hospitality) Parents and guests view our schools as welcoming and visit them frequently and without reservation. Eighty percent of parents will agree on the school survey when asked to evaluate: “I feel welcome in my child’s school.”
- Goal 2: (Exceptional Facilities) Operations Manager is acutely aware of actual and potential facility challenges and are proactive in addressing them and/or preventing them. Operations Manager responds to issues via facilities conference within 24 hours and resolves issues within 1-2 days. Eighty percent of parents will agree on the DOE school survey that “My child’s school is clean” and eighty percent of staff will agree on internal satisfaction surveys.
- Goal 3: (Safety) Scholars, parents and staff will consistently feel safe and secure in the building as measured by the results of the Success Academy Charter Schools survey question “Do you feel safe in your building?” and ninety percent of parents will Agree that “My child is safe at school.”
- Goal 4: (Inventory Management) Teachers and scholars will consistently have access to all standard supplies and requests for purchases will be fulfilled expediently as measured by an average approval and order placement time of three business days.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s Degree and a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm.
The candidate must demonstrate competency in the following areas:
- Organization: Keep track of projects and deadlines.
- Problem-solving: Approach challenges in creative ways and find thoughtful solutions.
- Analytical: Evaluate school systems with an eye toward continuous improvement.
- Planning: Ability to effectively plan and manage events, inventory, and renovations.
- Communication: Gear communications toward varied target audiences and employ negotiation skills as needed. Audiences include vendors, school staff, parents, school building teams and scholars.
- Technology: Ability and willingness to learn and support various systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a must. Experience with SalesForce, PowerSchool, ATS, and Smart Boards is a plus.
- All hands on deck: Be ready to jump in and do whatever it takes to keep the school functioning at a high level.
