Teacher Poudre School District’s Camp SOL Summer Teacher and Tutor Positions
Job Description
Poudre School District (PSD) in beautiful Fort Collins has 55 schools across over 1,800 square miles in northern Colorado. PSD is currently seeking multiple Tutors and Elementary Teachers for summer 2023 Camp SOL. Camp SOL is a summer bridge program designed for students needing additional support in Literacy and Math during the summer months. Camp SOL offers a full-day, full-summer experience for students including experiential learning, in-house field trips, and connections with positive, engaging adults. Camp SOL will be based at Bauder, O’Dea, and Linton Elementary Schools.
The program will run from June 5 to July 20, 2023, from approximately 8:00am-1:00pm; exact times will be determined based on the site. The program will not be held during the week of July 3-6, 2023. Staff training will run from May 30 – June 1, 2023.
Elementary Teachers ($30.00 hourly)
This position will be responsible for providing rigorous and engaging educational programming and support to students who show additional academic needs during COVID-era schooling and who meet priority criteria. Teachers will have an additional 14 hours of lesson planning time.
The successful candidates will have:
- a bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program;
- a valid Colorado Educator’s License with appropriate endorsement;
- experience instructing students in a classroom setting (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

Summer School Tutors ($20.00 hourly)
This position will be responsible for providing instructional support to students in all subject areas; coordinating with administrators and teachers to identify and work with students who show additional academic needs; preparing rigorous and engaging lesson plans, activities, and materials to support targeted instruction.
The successful candidates will have:
- a bachelor’s degree;
- one to two years of related experience.
