Job Description
The PE/OE (Physical Education/Outdoor Education) and Health Teacher at NRCCS is a highly qualified, highly motivated individual who teaches physical education to grades K-8, leads Outdoor Education trips, and teaches health education to K-8. This teacher supports students with learning about healthy living, exercise and physical fitness including an element of social-emotional wellness in all lessons; leads students in outdoor adventure and investigations of the natural world; models an emphasis on cooperation rather than competition; organizes and supervises students during class activities; instructs students on proper exercise routines and technique and use norms to ensure emotional safety and to promote courage and risk-taking in intellectual and physical adventure. All teachers are required to participate in professional development and as collaborative members of a small school staff.
