What You’ll Do
- Directly manage and support the Elementary School’s Assistant Principal, Literacy Coach, General Education Teachers, CLDE Teachers, Interventionists, Special Service Providers
- Implement meaningful and effective performance management cycles with all direct reports
- Foster an environment that is safe, joyful, and conducive to high levels of student learning and achievement on internal and external assessment
- Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate clear and effective procedures for the operation and functioning of the Elementary School including instructional programs, extracurricular activities, advisory and discipline systems by:
- Learning the school’s current practices, areas of strength, and identify opportunities for growth within the first year
- Collaborating with the CEO, Chief of Schools, the Central Leadership Team, and student support teams to foster K-12 alignment that leads to a high quality and enriching student experience
- Effectively managing student disciplinary issues and working collaboratively with teachers, the wellness team, the student supports team, students, and their families
- Actively participating in the MTSS process and ensuring that all students receive the supports and services as required by law
- Create the conditions in which all teachers and support staff can thrive by:
- Providing teachers with relevant and strong coaching that moves the needle on scholar achievement
- Supporting the evaluation of lesson plans, observing classes, and leading appropriate professional development on a regular basis
- Supporting and training teachers and support staff in the analysis and use of data to drive instruction
- Monitoring performance toward annual goals and provide support and interventions as needed
- Develop meaningful relationships and partnerships with families and caregivers that result in high levels of family satisfaction
- Embody the characteristics that the school wishes the students to uphold; especially connection, accountability, perseverance, and a growth mindset
- Partner with Human Resources to attract, hire, and retain top candidates
- Perform the regular duties of an administrator which includes:
- Modeling continuous learning and humility by pursuing professional development and growth opportunities
- Providing regular oversight and supervision of after-school activities and other school functions
- Participating in monthly meetings with the Atlas Board of Directors and attending weekly meetings with the Central Leadership Team
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried/Exempt
- Signing Bonus: $10,000, with a 3-year commitment
- Annual Salary Range: $92,700 – $110,510 (DOE)
- Full Time; Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Annual Calendar and Start Date
- 230 work days per academic year

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in education, leadership, management, or another position-related field
- Must be able to successfully pass all required background screening pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7 and Atlas policies
- Must have at least two years as an Assistant Principal or Principal serving predominantly historically marginalized students
- Must have at least three years of elementary teaching experience achieving strong outcomes for historically marginalized students
- Must possess and demonstrate functional knowledge of effective K-4 curriculum implementation and instructional practices
- Proven ability to effectively lead and build relationships with staff, students, families, and community stakeholders
- Must consistently demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills to problem solve, inspire, and engage others
- Must posses strong and effective decision-making skills, with a track record of maintaining exceptional school culture and academic outcomes
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual; Spanish & English
- Skilled in analyzing data to inform instructional practices and drive student achievement
- Proven track record of eliminating disparities in both academic and service opportunities for students
- Successful experience coaching and leading teachers through planned professional development and constructive feedback settings
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to be on-site daily during normal operating hours and the ability to fulfill occasional evening and weekends as necessary
- Ability to travel to required trainings, conferences, and school visits as necessary
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, standing, and walking on a daily basis
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas
