Pueblo County District 70 serves approximately 9,000 students in the suburban rural areas surrounding Pueblo, Colorado and houses 24 school sites throughout the district serving a diverse population of students within 19,000 square miles.
Assistant Superintendent (salary range $109,778-$158,918) The assistant superintendent of schools shall be responsible for assisting the superintendent in the general management of the schools of the district under the requirements of the state and the policies of the Board. The assistant superintendent shall be responsible for guiding the development of the educational objectives and programs of the school district to fulfil the educational needs of all students. The assistant superintendent shall assist the superintendent in providing overall direction to the activities of the school district and its personnel toward the accomplishment of district goals, administer the policies of the
Board, conserve the school district’s assets and resources, and maintain and enhance the school district’s standing in all its internal and external relationships.
Public Information Officer (salary range $95,593-$102,421) The Public Information Officer (PIO) reports timely information on a variety of situations using messaging services, email, socail media, news and print and any other form of communication that can be utilized. Department will be designated by the Superintendent’s office for job evaluation, budget and job responsibilities. The PIO will keep the public and stakeholders abreast of safety issues, legislative issues, budgetary issues and other issues that arise.
