Instructional Support Assistant Principal of Instruction (K-2nd)

1. Kindergarten through second-grade students will grow, on average, 1.5 years in math and reading.
2.Students receiving interventions will, on average, grow 2 years in reading.
3. Third- through fifth-grade students taking CMAS will score an average of 45% on track for the next grade level with 10% scoring exceeds expectations.
4. Average Daily Attendance at each RMP school will be at least 96%.
5. At least 90% of students who start at RMP, stay at RMP. (We call this the Persistence Goal.)
Each member of the organization plays a part in achieving these goals. School-based staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics that are aligned to both their individual roles AND the Big 5.
- Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results that improve their teaching quickly and measurably by conducting daily observations, real-time coaching, data analysis, and mid-year and end-of-year effective evaluations.
- Supervise the implementation of RMP curricula and assessments to meet our “Big Five” academic goals.
- Build and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families built on trust, understanding, and respect for the communities in which they identify.
- Support school wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment.
- Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade level meetings, before and after school duties and school wide meetings and functions.
- Participate in summer and year-long school-based professional development sessions.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience
- At least 2 years of full-time teacher leadership or administrative experience
- Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting
- Be able to provide an official transcript demonstrating graduation from an undergraduate institution
- Pass a background check
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Experience managing/coaching others
- The salary range for this position is $72,000 – 80,500 and is commensurate with skills and experience.
- This role is also eligible for a performance bonus up to 15% (5% per metric met) based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.
