Job Requirements:
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs requiring supervision and instruction for students with cognitive, social, communication, physical, self-help, behavioral and vocational needs.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, position, toilet and feed students with limited physical needs. Knowledge of the IEP process, behavioral interventions, data collection, assistive technology and alternative assessment (portfolio) curriculum.
- Ability to use collaborative skills in addressing inclusionary needs of students with parents and professional staff.
- Knowledge of work based learning and transitional planning for secondary age persons with significant disabilities.
Knowledge of IDEIA, current state special education rules and regulations, and compliance issues relative to programming for students with disabilities.
