Salary: Range 12, $77,147-$113,339 (Negotiated based on experience)

Reports To: Director of Instruction and English Language Development

Required:
- Proper Colorado Department of Education License and other qualifications as per teaching assignment are required.
- Proper Colorado Department of Education Principal License is required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective:
Provide an enriched atmosphere where ELD students, staff and content teachers are supported to help support students with language development needs. Provide professional development support and facilitate staff development to guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth and maturation. Responsible to Director of Instruction and CLD.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide effective language instruction programs that have successfully demonstrated an increase in English language proficiency and academic achievement.
- Support the implementation of the Greeley/Evans Master Plan for English Language Learners Success
- Provide effective professional development to classroom teachers, principals and other school leaders and administrators as it relates to language learners.
- Provide professional development to other school or community-based organizational personnel that relates directly to the instruction of English Learners that support their linguistic, academic, and social-emotional challenges and opportunities of ELs.
- Provide and implement other effective activities and strategies that enhance or supplement ELD programs for English Learners, which includes parent, family, and community engagement activities.
- Upgrade ELD program objectives and effective instructional activities.
- Improve ELD programs for ELs by identifying, acquiring, and upgrading curricula, instructional materials, educational software and technology, and assessment procedures that improve content and language acquisition.
- Provide community participation programs, family literacy services, and parent outreach and training activities to English students and their families.
- Develop and implement effective elementary ELD programs that are coordinated with other relevant programs and services.
- Improve instruction for EL students, including EL students with a disability or identified as gifted in a specific area.
