Operations / Administration Director of Innovative Programs
Job Description
Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full-time Director of Innovative Programs beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. In order to be considered for this position, you must complete the online application.
SUMMARY: This position leads a vision for development and implementation of innovative approaches to teaching and learning including leading the launch of District 38’s Career and Innovation Center.The director provides leadership and oversight for the district’s career and technical education (CTE) programs, concurrent enrollment, dual enrollment, alternative education, homeschool enrichment and online programs. This position works collaboratively across all schools and departments to champion and design programs that promote the district’s Portraits of a Graduate and Educator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Facilitate communication and collaboration among district / school administrators, teachers and staff to enhance service delivery, program development and customer satisfaction, particularly around developing and implementing innovative programs
- Serve as the district’s expert on innovative models and new approaches to teaching and learning to support individual student pathways
- Champion the creation of new programs and the redesign of existing programs that require extensive cross-departmental collaboration and consensus aligned with the Portrait of a Graduate attributes
- Create and sustain a network of local and national partnerships that contribute ideas and energy to the district’s approach to innovation
- Enable innovation by ensuring campus level procedures align with district policy and by proposing new policies and procedures necessary to support innovative schools
- Facilitate professional learning community teams to promote innovative thinking and collaborative learning aligned with the Portrait of an Educator attributes
- Provide administrative leadership and direction for the operational, financial, and personnel resources of assigned programs to effectively support district’s strategic plan priorities and initiatives
- Develop, review, and manage assigned policies, procedures, and budgets
- Facilitate relevant research and evidence-based scaling efforts to replicate and expand innovation schools
- Develop buy-in for and excitement around innovative programs among internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity, a collaborative leadership style, and high ethical standards
- Maintain an unwavering belief that all students can excel and has a commitment to high performance standards
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervision & Technical Responsibilities:
This position provides direct leadership and supervision for CTE, concurrent enrollment, online programming, the district’s Innovative Learning Opportunity Pilot (ILOP), work-based learning / internships, education technology and the homeschool enrichment program.
Budget Responsibility:
This position is responsible for budgetary oversight of multiple budgets including the Career Development Incentive Program (CDIP), CTE, ILOP, CE, Online and multiple associated grants.
Education & Training:
- Master’s degree or applicable training
- Principal / Administrator License preferred
Experience:
- Five (5) years of experience in school/district leadership roles with previous teaching experience required
Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Valid Colorado driver’s license required for hire

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in a usual office or school environment.
Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, compare, analyze, coordinate, evaluate, and use interpersonal skills.
Pay Range- $95,000- 107,000
261/Year Round Calendar
Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
