SUMMARY OF FUNCTION
The Executive Director of Student Pathways is responsible for leading, creating, and managing programs that support students’ transitions from middle school to high school, and ensure they demonstrate Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness . This role focuses on ensuring students have access to diverse pathways that prepare them for college, careers, and lifelong success.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for secondary pathways, including college readiness, work based learning, career and technical education (CTE), and other post-secondary opportunities.
- Set and communicate a clear vision for student agency and pathway development.
Program Management:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of secondary pathway programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and policies.
- Coordinate and supervise the administration of assessments, curriculum, and interventions to support student readiness.
Collaboration and Support:
- Partner with school administrators, teachers, support staff, families, higher education institutions, and community organizations to support student pathways.
- Provide coaching, professional development, and resources to educators and staff.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders to address student needs and program goals.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and report data on student performance, program effectiveness, and pathway utilization.
- Use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare and present reports to the school board, district leadership, and other stakeholders.
Resource Management:
- Manage budgets and allocate resources to support program goals and priorities.
- Seek and secure funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to enhance program offerings.
Advocacy and Policy Development:
- Advocate for the needs of students in secondary pathways at the district, state, and national levels.
- Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure equitable access to pathways for all students.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Valid administrative certification or licensure.
- CTE Director License or ability to obtain within one year of hire
- Extensive experience in secondary education, college readiness, career and technical education, or related areas preferred
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to Chief of Student Experience and Success
- Supervises assigned staff
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The work is performed in a typical office environment.
- Full-time position with extended hours as needed.
- Requires flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with dynamic priorities
- Work primarily in an office setting with regular visits to schools and community sites.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is mostly sedentary with periods of light physical activity, and is performed in office surroundings. Typical positions require workers to walk or stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 20 pounds; climb stairs; bend; reach, hold, grasp and turn objects; and use fingers to operate computer or typewriter keyboards.
