CareerWise is a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization that creates life-changing opportunities for the youngest generation of America’s workforce. We build industry-led, student-centered, modern youth apprenticeships through classroom and on-the-job learning providing flexible, alternative pathways to economic mobility. We have hundreds of CareerWise apprentices in the workplace, charting new paths to academic and career success. In addition, workforce and education leaders from across the country have visited CareerWise to learn about our youth apprenticeship model. As a result, our programs have launched in multiple states, leveraging our institutional knowledge, technology, and infrastructure.
Who We’re Looking For:
We seek experienced and dynamic educators to join our team as Summer Contract Facilitators for our Business Essentials course. In this role, you will deliver engaging and informative instructional sessions to equip apprentices with essential business skills and knowledge. This is a temporary position with a total commitment of 55 hours of teaching over the summer period. There may be opportunities to continue facilitating throughout the year as well.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Course Delivery: Deliver high-quality instruction in Business Essentials topics, including but not limited to business communication, self-advocacy, professional etiquette, and time management.
- Curriculum Implementation: Implement pre-designed curriculum materials effectively, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and apprenticeship program requirements.
- Engagement and Interaction: Foster an inclusive and interactive learning environment conducive to student engagement, participation, and skill development.
- Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student progress through various assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Adaptability: Modify teaching strategies and materials as needed to accommodate the apprentice cohort’s diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with program coordinators and fellow facilitators to enhance course delivery and contribute to the overall success of the apprenticeship program.
