ELIZABETH HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER
Elizabeth High School has an opening for a science teacher for the second semester. Current teaching load is Conceptual Physical Science, Biology and Forensics Science as well as a study hall called Cardinal Ground School.
$37,502 – $56,938 PER YEAR

Qualifications:
- A current CDE license (or ability to obtain) with appropriate endorsements in secondary science education
- Ability to effectively deliver pertinent curriculum with emphasis on physical science
- Passion and expertise to work with high school students
- Ability to work collaboratively within a strong department team and faculty
Job Description:
This is a full-time position. The science department offers core and elective classes for grades 9-12 with a range of levels. Teachers in the science education department specialize in content areas but support each other across the curriculum. A typical schedule generally includes two to three preparations. This position would be responsible for CP (college prep) Physical Science and Conceptual Physical Science. Coaching and sponsoring will also be available.
Elizabeth High School has a cordial, high-achieving student body. The community of Elizabeth is located in a beautiful area of the Palmer Divide among rolling hills and pine forests with views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range. At an elevation of 6448 feet, Elizabeth is located 15 miles east of I-25 about 45 minutes southeast of Denver or northeast of Colorado Springs.
