K-8 Principal Position: Elementary/Middle School
Qualifications/Job Description:
West Grand School District 1-JT is seeking a K-8 principal to provide vision and leadership for our Elementary and Middle School, which houses approximately 280 students and over 50 employees. This person will oversee the full K-8 operation, supervise the K-8 Assistant Principal, and work closely with other department heads and school administrators. West Grand is on a 4-day school week with the 2019-2020 School Year starting for students on August 19, 2019.
Job Qualifications
- Masters Degree, Colorado Principal License or be eligible for one.
- 5 years of successful teaching experience.
- Training and experience in supervision and evaluation of certified teachers.
- Teaching experience using Project-based Learning, Standards Based Learning, and Educational Best Practices.
- Collaborative approach with staff, parents and community.
- Proven record of improving student achievement and longitudinal growth.
- Proven ability to build and sustain positive school culture and climate.
- Experience in promoting and coordinating staff development and professional growth.
- Understanding and practical experience in utilizing data for educational improvement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Promote the development of the total child in a balanced education.
- Comprehensive understanding of Multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).
- Proven understanding of budget creation and management.
- Experience in analyzing and developing curriculum and assessment strategies.
Salary Range: $69,100 – $78,100 Depending on education and experience
