Archuleta School District, located in beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado, is currently looking for a principal for our middle school. Pagosa Springs Middle School (PSMS) is dedicated to a whole-child educational approach, ensuring students thrive academically, physically, and socially/emotionally. The PSMS’s mission is to empower students to navigate the future through learning and problem-solving.

The highly trained and caring staff of PSMS engage students in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that meet and exceed Colorado Academic Standards. Staff provide deep, project-based learning, outdoor exploration, science labs, and collaboration with community partners. Lessons emphasize critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and character, fostering real-world skills and mastery.

PSMS prioritizes the health and wellness of all students. Students participate in daily fitness and health classes and enjoy adventure learning, including overnight trips to Great Sand Dunes, Bandelier, and Arches National Monuments, as well as the Wolf Creek Ski Program.
