Responsible for providing assistance to the Lead of the Preschool room by tending to the personal needs of children (ages 2 ? to 5 years) including lifting, holding, diapering, feeding and potty training; preparing class materials; performing clerical duties; assisting with class instruction; organizing, preparing and disinfecting room and toys; communicating with Lead and/or parents regarding children’s progress, behavior and/or discipline; and supervising children. The classroom includes both regular education and special education children; therefore, a person in this position may be assigned to one and/or both student groups within the one classroom on any given day.
