The Carbondale Community School (CCS) is seeking applications for an experienced and innovative leader to serve as the School Principal for the upcoming school year. Candidates should have experience as an educator and leader in an elementary/secondary school setting.
The Carbondale Community School is a public charter school in Carbondale, Colorado serving 140 students. Our highly respected school provides a balanced curriculum incorporating intentional community values, individual character development, and strong academic skills woven into project-based learning opportunities and intentional field experiences. Carbondale Community School is one of two K-8 public charter schools of Compass sharing the Mission of fostering lifelong learning and empowering individuals to take responsibility for themselves, their learning, and their community (www.discovercompass.org).
The ideal candidate will work with the community to promote the mission of Compass and collaboratively develop the vision and strategic initiatives to support a coherent culture of lifelong learners. The candidate will share the following cornerstones with our community.

Start Date: August 1, 2024
Salary: 89,900-103,000 based on experience
This position is open until filled and requires the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate license through the Colorado Department of Education for the position of School Principal.
