Job Description
ABOUT ALLES AND THE POWER ZONE
District 49 and the POWER Zone seek an experienced, collaborative leader with the energy, integrity, and commitment that this outstanding community deserves. ALLIES Dragons are 2nd-5th grade students with a profile of dyslexia, who are expertly and passionately served at our unique, non-traditional school. Our students, staff, and families seek a leader who has proven knowledge and skills, the desire to learn and grow, and is driven to support students who experience unique challenges and gifts. The ALLIES staff is a small, but powerful team who function with expertise and thrive in a collaborative culture where every team member has value.

ALLIES is part of the POWER Zone. The POWER Zone is comprised of six unique and excellent schools across the northwest portion of District 49: Vista Ridge High School, Skyview Middle School, Inspiration View Elementary School, Ridgeview Elementary School, ALLIES, and Odyssey Elementary School. Although POWER Zone schools are unique, we are guided by shared priorities that are built upon our long-standing values.
What makes the POWER Zone the BEST choice to learn, work, and lead?
We create POWERful People & Pathways through our priorities:
People First – safety and support for students, staff, and families
Opportunities – effective instruction and curriculum; pathways for every learner
Whole Person – growth and achievement in academics, character, and passions
Engaged Stakeholders – voice and choice for students, staff, and families
Respectful Environments – collaborative and reflective culture
POWER Zone leaders, teachers, and support staff function to ensure a safe and collaborative culture, effective teaching in every classroom, and a guaranteed and viable curriculum. Research-based resources are utilized in this work. The Capturing Kids’ Heart process provides an inspiring relational framework that is used across all six campuses. Marzano’s High Reliability Schools framework, Marzano’s the New Art & Science of Teaching instructional framework, and Seidlitz’s 7 Steps to a Language-Rich Interactive Classroom provide processes, elements, and strategies that promise a strong focus on teaching and learning and an excellent educational experience for every student.
