Riverdale Ridge High School, a 27J School in Thornton, CO, is seeking a high school principal to provide dynamic leadership for a comprehensive high school campus.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree minimum; other advanced graduate work preferred.
• Colorado Principal License or Administrator License.
• At least three years of administrative experience as a secondary school principal or assistant principal required.
• At least three years’ teaching experience at the high school level required.
• Experience and knowledge of curriculum for secondary schools, with a knowledge of state standards required.
• Experience and knowledge of CTE programming is required.
• Experience with school construction or remodel is helpful.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

1. A valid Colorado Department of Education Principal License.
2. The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
3. The ability to facilite and coach a high-functioning team.
4. The ability to define roles and share responsibility to move the school vision forward.
5. The ability to seek out and engage the perspective of others.
6. The emotional intelligence to understand others’ needs and provide support.
7. The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
8. A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
