School Network Staff Restorative Practices Coordinator
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
The Restorative Practices Coordinator is responsible for building staff, student and family capacity for Restorative Practices. This position is also responsible for creating clear pathways for communication about RP, assessing our MTSS system with an RP lens, collecting data relating to RP, and collaborating with staff on building systems steeped in RP.
Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Running circles and mediations for students, staff and families
- Coaching the RP student board on best practices
- Teaching lessons related to RP and DEI in all classrooms K-8
- Collect, compile and present data relating to RP initiatives
- Assist in making RP visible in our school environment
- Building a Reintegration Practice
- Streamline our systems for communication around RP
- Build a common RP language for our community
- Work with our MTSS team on Tier 1 RP approaches to behavior
- Support teachers on creating RP-style behavior plans
- Analyzing data related to RP
- Plan, prepare and implement professional development opportunities for district staff
- Plan, prepare and implement coaching cycles for teachers around classroom RP implementation
- Conducting school observations, surveys to track progress
- Planning, preparing and implementing community night events to elevate, teach and practice RP with our community members
How to Apply
Qualifications- Must hold a Bachelors or Master's degree;
- Colorado teaching credential preferred
- Training as a Restorative Practices trainer, preferred
- An unwavering commitment to and belief in the vision/mission of Pagosa Peak Open School, including the PPOS place-based, project learning model and Restorative Practices;
- The ability to focus and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and the willingness and desire to support others in doing their best work
