JOB SUMMARY
Our national, public sector consulting firm is seeking a School Turnaround Project Manager for our Education Solutions Group. The Project Manager will have a demonstrated understanding of school systems and in particular building level management of all aspects of education. Responsibilities will include working onsite with schools and clients in the state of Colorado.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Lead and coach school principal and leadership team for identified client (school) in a multi-year project
- Manage onsite MGT and consultant team
- Recommend personnel and staffing needs to Client Portfolio Manager
- Lead development and execution of school achievement plan
- Facilitate monthly data monitoring
- Facilitate leadership team and PLC in collaboration with MGT team
- Ensure all aspects of contract are delivered at the school level
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master degree or Doctorate in Education Leadership, Curriculum or Supervision or related field within education
- Five (5) or more years of experience in school turnaround, leadership, and coaching
- Extensive understanding of public school systems and in particular, building level management of all aspects of education
- Ability to lead large diverse teams and facilitate consensus and support for major change
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
- Position will report to the MGT Colorado Client Portfolio Manager.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual: Spanish
- Experience with any of the following: project-based learning, instructional coaching, portfolio assessment, a competency-based education model, collaborative learning, integration of technology and cross-disciplinary learning
- Extensive experience in coaching and professional development
- Communicates and builds relationships with internal and external constituencies
- Identifies and implements strategies to improve individual and group productivity and content mastery
- Uses excellent listening, observation, reading, verbal, nonverbal and writing skills
- Ability to be flexible to and adapt to the dynamic nature of consulting engagement
- Ability to travel between 25-50% of the time, depending on the sales cycle and client needs
- Experience with a Project Management Software, such as Mavenlink
