Job Description
40% Project Management. Engage with internal and external partners, constituents, and potential funders/partners to ensure the successful implementation of the program.
• Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs in collaboration with accountable parties.
• Host project weekly meetings with team and managers, external partners, and others as needed.
• Support team members with feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement as needed
• Manage deadlines and communicate those with the team to ensure timeliness
• Collaboratively develop a long-term vision and trajectory for further integration of TIP into all SOE and other EPPS in the state and region.
• Collaborate and support faculty with integration of TIP principles into MSU Denver School of Education coursework.
• Oversee budgets from public and private sources associated with Ed Solutions projects assigned to you.
• Write and co-write grants to support TIP and Ed Solutions programs
• Ensure all grant reports are complete and on time.
• Communicate with appropriate PreK-12 personnel, donors and private foundations, other university units (i.e., OSRP, University Foundation, other academic units), and other external entities with interests in Ed Solutions.
40% Professional Development Management. Engage with presenters to ensure quality of professional development.
• Facilitate and build the schedules for workshops, creating materials, catering, and other activities associated with TIP.
• Manage logistics at all TIP remote and in-person workshops (including evenings and weekends)
• Create content for flyers/materials for funders and other audiences.
• In collaboration with SOE faculty/staff and Resilient Futures, support the creation of measures of effectiveness of the program and continuously monitor the performance.
20% Administrative
• Conduct purchasing, documentation, and reconciliation of accounts holding funding from public and private sources associated with assigned Ed Solutions projects, in compliance with SOE and MSU Denver policy and procedure.
• Create and track certificates for TIP integration and TIP professional development.
• Event planning and organize special projects for Ed Solutions. – Event planning includes coordination and management of details such as venue procurement, virtual meeting space organization, catering contracts, delivery/ distribution of incentive items, follow strict purchasing procedures, budget maintenance and communication with potential VIPs and speakers.
• May attend events (in-person or virtual) to help with logistics as needed. This may require working evenings and weekends.
• Coordinate with the Ed Solutions director, SOE deans, faculty, staff, and others to schedule event dates.
• Field all initial inquiries concerning Ed Solutions initiatives by managing and responding to emails, phone calls and all other communications.
• Coordinate the maintenance, organization and updating of SharePoint sites, social media, newsletters, and other Ed Solutions communications within established SOE communication, design, and branding standards and guidelines.
