Operations / Administration Interim Executive Director

Job Description

About the Position

The Interim Executive Director will provide leadership and strategic direction for CASB at the direction of the Board of Directors. The Interim Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. The Interim Executive Director will foster collaboration across Colorado school districts and will contribute to setting the annual Board identified goals and priorities for CASB in accordance with the strategic plan. The Interim Executive Director will align and drive performance to ensure these goals are achieved.

  • Strong communicator promoting the value of school boards and public education to a variety of stakeholders and entities
  • A forward focus in board governance

 

Required Qualifications

  • Prior leadership and management experience in the nonprofit, philanthropic and/or government sectors
  • Experience integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion into the work at all levels of an organization
  • Approachable in engagement with staff, members, and stakeholders
  • Collaborative outlook in building strong Board relations
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Financial and business acumen with an understanding of how to develop and implement strategic and operational plans
  • Prior experience working for a Board and advancing the work of the Board
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with publicly-elected boards of education, the education community, political figures, and the public

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of member school boards’ needs and an association’s role in meeting those needs
  • Experience serving as a senior leader within an organization
  • Ability to contribute to and champion strategic change
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and responsibilities
  • Life-long learner driven by the opportunities represented in public education

 

Industry: Education

Salary: CASB will offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, within the range of $150,000 to $170,000.
