Instructional Support Youth Conference Workshop Facilitator

Job Description

The mission of the Image Summit youth conference is to empower young people from across the state to  become active community members and use their voice to impact change.

We want to build networks among young leaders here in Colorado! On day one of this event, we will offer attendees a sampling of  unique breakout workshops, aiming to build confidence and leadership skills,  empower leaders, inspire community changemakers, and HAVE FUN .

On day two, we will give attendees the opportunity to put their new-found skills and confidence to work, learning about local government and having the opportunity to meet and converse with elected officials from across the state. The event will take place at the Riverdale Regional Park & Fairgrounds in Brighton, Colorado.

Wednesday, November 2: Exciting entertainment and keynote speaker followed by seven 36-minute workshop-style presentations – totaling 5.5 hours in length from 10:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Lunch is included. (TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.)

Thursday, November 3:  Exciting keynote speaker, elected official round tables, food truck alley lunch, and youth social wrap up party.

The City of Brighton is currently accepting proposals for workshop presenters for November 2. We are seeking presenters that host interactive workshops that address the following:
 Leadership
 Confidence
 Public Speaking
 Movement
 The Arts
 Music
 Inclusivity and Diversity
 Teamwork
 Self-Expression

Workshops must be:
o no longer than 35 minutes in length
o Engaging and fun
o Have a memorable takeaway
o Your proposal must be developmentally appropriate for EITHER 5th-8th graders OR 9th-12 graders.
        Group size will be approximately 35 students.
o Must be able to modify for students’ disabilities
Compensation is between $800-$1,200

An in-person interview is preferred. For an interview, you should be prepared to present a shortened, hands-on version of your workshop.
