Job Description

Summit School District has a high school principal opening for the 2019-20 school year.  Our District’s goal is to “Develop Caring Learners for the 21st Century” and we are seeking applications from outstanding educators to lead this dynamic high school.  Our District serves a diverse socioeconomic and ethnic community and is located in the central Rocky Mountains.

Summit High School (SHS) is located in Breckenridge, Colorado, surrounded by the stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. Our District covers approximately 516 square miles in Summit County, Colorado where students, families and staff alike find great opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Successful candidates will have at least three years of teaching experience, a minimum of three years of successful leadership experience, a Master's Degree and a valid Principal License issued by the Colorado Department of Education.  Bilingual (English and Spanish) with experience working with programs such as Dual Language, Co-Teaching and International Baccalaureate is preferred.
